Warren Sapp and Michael Strahan need to contact UFC president Dana White and finally settle their disdain for each other.
Sapp has never liked Strahan nor been shy about expressing those sentiments. Earlier this week, Sapp, who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was asked about the possibility of Strahan joining him in the Hall of Fame. Strahan, a former standout defensive end with the New York Giants, is one of 15 modern-day finalists eligible for induction this year.

Pat Summerall, former Giants kicker and giant in the broadcasting industry, dies at age 82

The brilliance of Pat Summerall was always what he didn’t say. He didn’t have to be the loudest or most verbose guy in the broadcast booth. But he was the best.
The Dallas Morning News reported that Summerall has died at the age of 82. The report said he died in the hospital where he was recovering from hip surgery.
Summerall was a former NFL player. He was most memorably a New York Giants kicker, playing in the legendary 1958 title game against the Colts, and before that he kicked for the Detroit Lions and Chicago Cardinals. He was a good kicker in the NFL. Then he became a great announcer. He was one of the NFL’s distinctive voices as the league grew by leaps and bounds. That might not be coincidental.

When the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers faced off at Super Bowl XLV, an estimated 11 million U.S. television viewers tuned into the 2011 game. Despite those numbers, something was missing – cheerleaders.
Of the 32 teams in the NFL, six don’t have squads, and Super Bowl XLV happened to feature two of them. The 2012 Super Bowl champion New York Giants also doesn’t have a cheerleading squad, but the team they beat, the New England Patriots, does, providing a morale boost from the sideline.
CNBC.com listed the best cheerleading squads in 2011 and 2012. The 2013 rankings have been provided by Michele Crawford-Carnegie, a seven-year veteran of the Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders and the current owner of the Alumni Cheerleaders social networking site.
